About ECG

Focused on People, Process, and Safer Outcomes

Energy Control Group was founded on a straightforward premise: mission-critical construction projects need a dedicated energy control management program — one that brings clear responsibilities, practical procedures, and consistent coordination from planning through project handoff.

People

Effective energy control depends on clear communication and well-defined responsibilities. ECG builds programs that make roles and expectations clear — so every person on the project understands what is required of them and who to coordinate with.

Process

Consistent, documented process is the foundation of effective energy control. ECG brings structured methodology to every engagement — the same rigor applied to a single procedure review as to a full project oversight assignment.

Visibility

Project owners and general contractors need clear visibility into energy control status across their projects. ECG provides that visibility — through audit findings, coordination reporting, and documentation that gives stakeholders an accurate picture of where things stand.

Control

The purpose of an energy control program is to establish and maintain control over hazardous energy. ECG's programs are designed to verify that control — that procedures are correct, that coordination is in place, and that the program reflects the actual conditions of the work.

Safer Outcomes

We do not guarantee safety or compliance. What we provide is a more rigorous program, clearer documentation, and greater coordination — conditions that support safer outcomes on complex projects.

Experience

Experience Behind ECG

Energy Control Group brings more than 20 years of utility substation construction experience, along with experience managing energy control on projects for leading data center construction clients.

That background informs our approach to procedure reviews, documentation, safety audits, and project oversight. We help project teams clarify responsibilities, identify gaps, and coordinate energy-control activities throughout construction.

All ECG Chief Energy Marshals have completed NFPA 70E training and OSHA 30-hour training.

Experience reflects ECG leadership's prior work, not completed ECG corporate projects.

Our Approach

Independent. Documented. Accountable.

ECG does not perform electrical installation, maintenance, switching or equipment operation, electrical testing, or physical lock/tag application. Physical execution is performed by the electrical contractor's qualified teams. ECG's role is program development, onsite leadership, coordination, and oversight — establishing the structure within which safe, well-controlled work takes place.
